The little Clay Pot

Lots of things can go in a little Clay Pot

Weekly Menu 3.22.10-3.28.10 March 18, 2010

Chef Salad & Bread

  • Salad Greens
  • 1 Apple (chopped)
  • Raisens
  • Cooked Chicken (from the freezer, if you don’t have any in the freezer cook a breast or 2)
  • Carrots- Chopped
  • Crunchy topping- Croutons, Gold Fish, Fried onions etc
  • Salad dressing.  My family has really enjoyed this home made version that I adapted from this recipe Kate’s Kitchen Raspberry Vinaigrette.  I followed the proportions but used seseme seed oil, and cider vinegar.

The bread recipe is here

Tuesday-Passover  Chag Pesach Sameach!

Lamb, Grape Juice, Carrots and parsnips, Baked Egg, Charoset, Matzoh

If you are not celebrating passover, you could still eat the lamb, and veggies.  Enjoy!

  • Lamb rib chops
  • rosemary
  • Garlic Cloves-minced

Season meat and bake, broil, or brown on a stove top.

for carrots and parsnips I like this recipe.

To bake an egg, place egg(s) on a baking sheet and bake for about an hour at 325 or so.  The egg will start to “bleed” and get brown spots.

Charoset is so yummy.  It is chopped apples, chopped walnuts, grape juice (or wine) and honey.  An internet search will give you many different recipes to try.

Bacon, Eggs and Bread
